Melissa has been with our team for five years now, having over 16 years of experience in the dental world overall. She attended Louisiana State University and University of New Orleans, is ACLS certified, and has taught the Dental Assisting Program at Delta College of Arts & Technology. Her favorite part of her job is having the ability to learn, improve, and become better for her patients, which helps them with their overall health.
Melissa is originally from Metairie and she has three children. In her free time, she enjoys being a basketball/football/track/powerlifting mom, writing poetry, and cooking international food. She actually once sang the song “Son of a Preacher Man” with Amy Winehouse in Washington, D.C., who didn’t become famous until three or four years later.
Registered Dental Hygienist
As a Registered Dental Hygienist and Periodontal Therapist, Theresa is trained not only to provide professional dental cleanings, but also to employ the latest therapies and technology to help periodontal patients heal and manage gum disease.
Theresa is from Pontchatoula and attended Southeastern Louisiana University and the LSU dental hygiene program, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. She continued post-graduate study with Dr. Moreau at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and completed Dynamic Team Training and Evolutionary Hygiene courses. Her favorite part of her job being able to improve patients’ oral and overall health! Building relationships with them over the years is such a joy as well.
Theresa and her husband were living in the flood-damaged area of New Orleans during Katrina. They settled on the Northshore in the aftermath and are now raising two children in the Abita area. Theresa’s passion for health and fitness includes Cross-Fit and training for road races. She also enjoys getting involved in many community fundraisers, such as Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. She loves new socks, eating hamburger, catching turtles, and being outside with her kids.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jill is a native of Meridian, MS, who came to MoreSMILES by way of Fort Walton Beach, Fl, where she graduated in 2002 with a Dental Hygiene degree from Pensacola State College. She also continued her online studies in dental hygiene at the University of Mississippi. Her favorite part of her job is being able to educate patients about their oral health and seeing their excitement as they achieve improvements and positive changes.
Jill and her husband Bill have three daughters, as well as a Goldendoodle named Beaux. Outside of the office, she enjoys Cross-Fit, running, skiing, trips to the beach, Ole Miss football, and spending time with her family. She didn’t try her very first raw oyster until she was 38 years old!
Registered Dental Hygienist
Katie is a native of Covington, an alumnus of Covington High School, and attended LSU before completing her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene at LSU Dental School.
She and her husband got married in 2011 and are active members of their church. They enjoy spending time outdoors and with family. They are both loyal LSU fans. Katie also enjoys traveling and doing Pilates.
Julie has been active in her husband's dental practice since 1984. Her focus is on administration, office systems and procedures, policy, long-range planning, research and development, human resources, property and equipment acquisition and implementation, marketing and promotions.
She grew up in New Orleans and has lived in Tylertown, MS, and Bessemer, AL. She earned a degree in Journalism from The University of Alabama and then followed her roots back to New Orleans to work. She met and married Dr. Moreau in 1983, and they have raised 4 children.
As the TMJ and Sleep practice has grown, Julie has been instrumental in the development of the systems incorporated at MoreSMILES. She manages our medical billing procedures and orchestrates the flow of TMJ disorder and sleep apnea patients from their initial contact with our office.
Madelaine is a 2011 graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Public Relations. She runs MoreSMILES social media and advertising and oversees community outreach and patient experience. Madelaine has lived in Mandeville all of her life.
Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Shannon was introduced to the dental profession in 2005, working as a dental assistant in an endodontic specialty practice. She has trained in general dentistry under Dr. Moreau since 2008. She assists with fabrication and polish of same-day restorations with CEREC CAD-CAM technology and is trained to assist Dr. Moreau with various aspects of TMJ and headache treatment. She was part of the team with Dr. Moreau who fitted Saints players for PPM performance mouth guards during their Superbowl season.
She was raised in Houma and moved to Mandeville in 2000. Shannon’s friendly manner helps patients relax, while her competence and professionalism help reassure our patients of the highest level of dental care.
Shannon loves to cook, exercise and spend time with a large circle of family and friends. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching college and professional football and basketball.
Emily is new to the dental world, but she says her favorite thing about working for our office is getting the chance to cultivate an excellent new patient experience for everyone visiting More Smiles. She is originally from Livingston, LA and attended the University of New Orleans. Emily also received special training in phone scheduling from the Scheduling Institute. Outside of dentistry, Emily enjoys dancing, jamming out to Beyonce, and spending time with her poodle pup. Her favorite Louisiana food is red beans and rice, of course!
Mike is getting his start in the dental world and says his favorite thing about working here is being around highly skilled professionals in a fun and motivating atmosphere. Originally from Slidell, Mike earned a bachelor’s of finance at Southeast Louisiana University. He has over 8 years of experience in management, customer service, and budgeting. Outside of finance, Mike enjoys carpentry -- you can often find him in his dad’s shop building furniture. Mike is also a small business owner outside of More Smiles. And his favorite Louisiana food? It’s a tie between shrimp and grits and gumbo!
