Hygienists play a particularly important role because they are the experts who clean your teeth and coach you on how to care for your smile better at home. They love to interact with patients, and they get a high level of satisfaction from building relationships and seeing people improve their oral health. Jill’s Dental Background
Jill learned the ins and outs of dental hygiene when she attended Pensacola State College in Florida. She graduated in 2002 and worked in Fort Walton Beach, FL for a few years before she joined us at MoreSMILES on June 26, 2006. She has also dedicated time to continuing her education via online classes from the University of Mississippi.
When you meet her, you’ll notice right away that she has a passion for educating her patients on how they can better care for their teeth. After you go home and apply her tips, come back to our office so Jill can see how excited you are about your healthier smile. Seeing that excitement is her favorite part of her job!
Jill Outside of the Office
Of course, Jill isn’t all work and no play. She has three lovely daughters, a devoted husband, and a labradoodle named Beaux. When Jill isn’t helping out patients in our office, you might spot her running around town with her girls; their activities keep her super busy! There is also a spiritual aspect to her home life; her husband serves as an associate pastor at the First Baptist Church in Covington, and Jill is actively involved in the church’s activities.
Jill loves to stay physically active. Crossfit, running, and skiing are all things she enjoys. However, when college football season starts, you might find her sitting in front of the TV and burning calories while she channels her energy into cheering for her favorite team — Ole Miss. Her devotion to the Rebels is understandable since Jill grew up in Meridian, MS.
Jill likes to get away when she can. Her favorite vacation she’s ever taken is to the gorgeous and tranquil island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. If you’ve ever been there, that’s one more thing for you to talk about with Jill when you see her in our office!
