Leading our team is the highly skilled and passionate dentist Dr. James A. Moreau. He would love to get to know you in person, but if you’d like a little preview of what you can expect when you meet him, here are some basic facts about our awesome doctor.
Dr. Moreau’s Background
Dr. Moreau is a Louisiana local. He graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans in 1972, and eight years later, he graduated from LSU School of Dentistry. He stayed at the dental school for an additional seven years as an associate professor of Fixed Prosthodontics. At the same time, he was enjoying working at his private practice.
Today, Dr. Moreau continues to manifest a passion for helping patients have beautiful, strong smiles. Every year, he is rated as one of the Top Dentists in New Orleans, but despite his accomplishments, he isn’t resting on his laurels. He is always learning new ways to serve you better.
In his spare time, Dr. Moreau loves to get outdoors. He was an assistant Boy Scout leader for 10 years, and he still enjoys all that nature has to offer. Of course, he also spends as much time as possible with his beloved family.
Dr. Moreau’s Services
Dr. Moreau is qualified to perform all of the services you expect from a dentist, but he also goes above and beyond the basics.
Many patients come to him because they’re suffering from severe oral health problems that require major dental work. They may even need a full-mouth reconstruction. As an expert in prosthodontics and dental implants, Dr. Moreau is qualified to help these individuals regain their smiles, their confidence, and their ability to enjoy life to the full.
Because he is interested in its patients’ overall health as well as their oral health, he also offers sleep apnea treatment. He designs custom oral appliances that gently reposition a patient’s jaw at night, allowing air to flow freely during the nighttime hours. These appliances can be a convenient alternative to bulky, noisy, and uncomfortable CPAP machines.
Another way in which Dr. Moreau helps his patients is through TMJ therapy. Problems with the temporomandibular joints (TMJ) can be extremely troublesome, leading to headaches, bite problems, and more. But as a neuromuscular dentist, Dr. Moreau understands how the TMJ works and can provide treatment to realign the jaw and relieve the pain and inconvenience of that comes with TMJ disorders.
