Dr. Finger specializes in removable prosthetics (dentures) and implant restorations. He received his Masters Degree in Prosthodontics from Ohio State University, followed by additional specialized training in Maxillo-Facial Prosthetics at Roswell Park Institute in Buffalo, New York, where he focused on oral-facial defects such as Cleft Palate, and post oral cancer reconstruction. For 28 years, Dr. Finger has been a Professor at LSU Medical Center, where he was Director of the Graduate Program in Prosthodontics. He has lectured extensively, both nationally and internationally, and has authored numerous journal articles and contributed to text books.

Prosthodontists are dental specialists who have undergone additional training and certification in the restoration and replacement of broken or missing teeth. It is the branch of dentistry that also specializes in understanding the dynamics of the smile, preserving a healthy mouth, and creating tooth replacements.
